Terms of Service
These terms apply to the Simplytics web analytics service at simplytics.dev.
The service
- Simplytics provides privacy-friendly, cookie-less web analytics from $12 per year.
- A subscription includes 50,000 tracked hits per month and up to 12 websites. If you occasionally exceed the limit, contact us and we will usually raise it for free; sustained large overages may need a custom arrangement.
- New accounts can try Simplytics before subscribing. When the trial ends your dashboard locks, but we keep recording your traffic for a further 7 days — subscribe within that week and nothing is missing from your history. After that, tracking stops until you subscribe. Your existing stats are never deleted, and CSV export stays available whether you subscribe or not.
Acceptable use
- Only add websites that you own or operate.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe other users' data, or send fabricated traffic.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Billing & cancellation
- Subscriptions are billed monthly, quarterly or yearly through Dodo Payments, depending on the option you chose at checkout, and renew automatically.
- The price you sign up at is the price you keep. If we raise prices, the increase applies to new sign-ups only; your renewal stays at the rate you started on for as long as your subscription stays continuously active. This covers the price, not what is included.
- You can cancel any time from the Account page; your subscription will then not renew.
- Refunds: 30 days on any charge, no questions asked. See the Refund Policy.
- Tax. Listed prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Dodo Payments is our merchant of record: they are the seller on your receipt, they add VAT, GST or sales tax based on your billing country, and they convert to your local currency. The exact total is shown at checkout before you pay.
- EU and UK customers. Consumer law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase of digital services. Our 30-day refund is longer and has no conditions attached, so we simply apply it — you never need to invoke the statutory right. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights.
- Deleting your account cancels your subscription and removes your data from the live database immediately. Backups age out on their own within 90 days — the privacy policy says exactly what they hold and for how long.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that it is provided as is: we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant that it will suit any particular purpose of yours.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under a law that cannot be contracted out of. That includes the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, the conformity rights under EU Directive 2019/770, and your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, we limit it to supplying the service again, or paying the cost of having it supplied again. Otherwise, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of USD 100 and the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms where there is a valid reason — a change in the law, a change to the service, or to correct an error. If a change would materially reduce what you get or increase what you owe, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for. Other changes take effect when they are published here. Changes never apply retrospectively.
